Panoramas & Paintbrushes
6 / 2 / 2011
In collaboration with Galerie d'art Iris, artists Stefan Horik, Albini Leblanc, Niko, Jean-François Racine, Louis Tremblay, Jimmy Perron, Marie-Catherine Péloquin and Josée Miller will look to skiers and riders for their inspiration, and render onto canvas their unique interpretations as they chat about technique, and share their passion for their art.
Works completed will later be sold, and a canvas by Jimmy Perron valued at $950 will be raffled off at day's end among season pass and day lift ticket holders.
“It's a wonderful opportunity for the artists to remove themselves from their usual place of artistry and connect with the public” mentions Stéphane Bouchard, proprietor of Galerie d'art Iris, for whom the event is not only a chance to demystify visual art by making it more accessible, but also to experience first-hand the different processes artists undergo when they're immersed in a creative moment.
Come observe a dozen or so artists painting live from the Summit Chalet, as they worry their brushes...
