After investing $4 million, resort hotel unveils 60 new studios and condos as part of Espace Nordik.
Château Mont-Sainte-Anne, a four-star hotel complex located at the foot of Mont-Sainte-Anne's gondolas, 20 minutes from Le Massif, is inaugurating its ESPACENORDIK, an ultra-modern section of the hotel featuring the latest in resort design and comfort.
The plan and design was created by Katrine Beaudry of the renowned architectural firm Lemay-Michaud, and the energy efficient mechanical features were developed by Genecor, which also oversaw the LEED-EB certification process.
An environmentally sustainable LEED-EB renovation
Château Mont-Sainte-Anne has invested more than $4 million in the eco-friendly renovation of this new VIP section of the hotel complex, which already has a "4 Green-Key" rating and is a member of the RéserVert network. ESPACENORDIK's renovations were completed according to LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) criteria and are in the process of being certified, making the Château the first hotel in Québec to renovate under the LEED-EB (LEED for Existing Buildings) certification.
The studios and condos were entirely rebuilt from the concrete shell, and the central heating and ventilation system was overhauled using state-of-the-art, energy-efficient technologies. Each unit has an ultra-quiet ventilation system, ensuring optimal air intake and exhaust quality.
Trendy and classy loft design
The hotel owners opted for a loft design with clean lines to enhance the architectural features. Tasteful combinations of blond-wood furniture, glass and steel are accented with reproductions of Giovanni Gerometta paintings in each unit.
The walls of the shell, made of glazed concrete, give the spaces a warm, contemporary feel, and luxury materials accentuate the comfort and esthetic appeal. With quartz countertops, Céramique Décor tiles and products, contemporary Delux lights, and exclusive Dauphin
mattresses with natural bamboo covering, Château Mont-Sainte-Anne offers its customers the best in quality, craftsmanship and design.
Functional and practical, ESPACENORDIK promises a unique experience to sports enthusiasts, vacationers and business people looking for an inspirational setting for their corporate activities.
The 56 Nordik studios are now available (one king-size bed and living room with sofa bed, or two queen-size beds). All studio suites come with a balcony, kitchenette with microwave oven, fridge, Nespresso coffee machine, table for two to four, 40-inch flat-screen TV and free wireless Internet.
The Nordik mezzanine condo units are also under development: two model condos are already completed and two others are being renovated. The entire floor includes 22 mezzanine condos slated for delivery in November 2010.
These condos come in mezzanine versions (680 sq. ft.) with a king-size bed and toilet on the mezzanine floor, a living room with sofa bed and fireplace, bathroom, washer/dryer and fully equipped kitchen. The double mezzanine unit (1,100 sq. ft.) features the master bedroom on the mezzanine floor, a clawfoot bathtub, a shower, two washbasins and a toilet. The ground floor includes a second closed bedroom, full bathroom with washer/dryer, living room with fireplace and sofa bed, dining area and full kitchen.
Studios and condos for sale
The condos and some studio suites are on sale for immediate delivery or by November 2010. Owners will have access to all Château services, including a rental service as part of Château Mont-Sainte-Anne's condo-hotel concept.

Château Mont-Sainte-Anne is located 30 minutes from Old Québec City, at the foot of the Mont-Sainte-Anne gondolas and just 20 minutes from Le Massif in the Charlevoix region, with a regular, free shuttle service during the ski season. Château Mont-Sainte-Anne is the only four-star hotel complex in the region to offer integrated resort services, including the Spa Château, swimming pools, a gourmet restaurant with Slow Food/regional accents, and the biggest convention centre in the Province of Québec.
